SUMMARY
Senior Marketing Analyst will leverage internal and external data to provide insights and information to enable the optimal facts-based decision making process and provide input into strategy, analysis methods, and tool utilization.
The Senior Marketing Analysts work will revolve around understanding complex businesses, large and complex data manipulation, and model building.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop actionable quantitative marketing analysis in the areas of marketing effectiveness, ROI, and marketing optimization
Create actionable insight and understanding, through the analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data, building recommendations that directly address business objectives
Build and refine predictive and descriptive analysis to improve insights, enhance data-driven business strategies, and drive improved profitability
Work with clients to interpret their needs, as well as plan, organize, and discuss progress and results
Build, review, and improve the code to solve complex data manipulation problems
Thoroughly document the work processes
Present updates, insights, and final recommendations to diverse audiences
Make recommendations to improve current analytics capabilities
Perform post-event analysis to validate forecast assumptions and identify factors associated with the change
Partner with internal and external clients to identify business opportunities and develop robust advanced analytics solutions (predictive models, LTV, propensity models)
Participate in large scale projects that utilize online and offline data, and structured and unstructured data, to build customer centric models and optimization tools
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
Ability to partner with internal and external clients
REQUIREMENTS
3+ years experience developing statistical targeting models using SAS, R and/or SPSS
3+ years experience within an Enterprise Data Warehouse or Big Data environment
Experience using analytics within Marketing, Research or similar groups
Strong SAS skills (prefer SAS/STAT, SAS/MACRO, E- Miner)
Expert skills in SQL and experience in using databases from within SAS
Experience with Experimental test design (A/B split, full factorial, fractional factorial)
Passionate about the future of data analytics and a desire to help shape it
Ability to visualize data through graphing, charting and information display skills
Experience with Windows and UNIX/Linux operating systems
Large scale data aggregation and processing skills
Able to translate analytic insights into actionable business and marketing implications
Project management skills
BA/BS Bachelors Degree in a quantitative field, such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, and Data Sciences
